Minneapolis for the Weekend!

Bruce and I were in Minneapolis, MN this weekend!

It was a great city!  We stayed in downtown Minneapolis.

Places to go when you are in town: James J. Hill House,

Summit Ave., Grand Ave., Minnehaha Falls,

Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden, St. Paul Cathedral, Stone Arch Bridge.

It was very, very hot and humid---but lots of fun!

Eating Berries

A few days ago we bought a bunch of fruit.  We saw that they were selling

red currants.  We had never eaten a currant before, so we bought them.

They are really beautiful---bright, bright red.

Well, they might be beautiful, but very sour.

I looked up how you are supposed to eat them. 

They are used for cooking and decoration.  Lol

Hood Canal

My parents are in town for a few weeks.  This weekend we went to the Hood Canal.

What a great place!  It's nice to get away from the noise and just relax.

We went fishing, crabbing and dug up some oysters.

We had beautiful weather, great laughs, great food!
